About the Recipe
Applesauce is easy on the digestive system, but many store bought brands have high amounts of added sugars or various preservatives. A very easy recipe to make and is a great snack at anytime of day.
Ingredients
6-8 medium size apples
1 lb strawberries
1/2 cup water
2 tsp grated fresh ginger root
Preparation
1.Peel and core apples
2. Remove husks from strawberries
3. Place apples, strawberries, water and ginger root into slow cooker
4. Slow cook on high for 5 hours
5. Remove mixture from slow cooker and put into a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth.
6. Store in refrigerator for up to 1 week or in freezer for up to 3 months.
